Ricoh launched the 26 page-per-minute (ppm) color Aficio SP C311 and C312 in March 2009, followed by the 21 ppm SP C231, C232 MFP and C242 in May 2009 and the 26 ppm C320 in February 2011. Duty cycles ranged from 30,000 to 75,000 pages per month.
Kyocera also introduced their own version built around the same print engine, the FS-C1020.
Replacement color toner cartridges are available in 2,500 page low yield and 6,000 page high yield versions. Black cartridges are available in 2,500 page low yield and 6,500 page high yield versions. All cartridges require a chip for correct printer operation.
